"My Life in a White Frame" is my life archive. After the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, I had to leave my hometown of Malyn, in the Zhytomyr region, due to the great threat of occupation. It was at that moment that I realized how much I loved my city and how much it meant to me.
Fortunately, the russians did not manage to reach my city, and I returned home in March 2022. It was after that when I started taking these Polaroids. Currently, I have decided to continue this project even beyond Malyn. I capture everything that my soul desires.
This is my first experience with an Instax camera, so a lot of my shots ended up being unsuccessful. Therefore, I have decided to add a reflection on these failed photos to this project. I started burning the failed Polaroids, and it became a personification of the mistakes that happen on the path of life and my attitude towards them.
